Dr. Kathleen Regan, ND believes that health begins with how and what we eat. Her primary clinical focus is nutrition. She integrates her experience with clinical and traditional nutrition to help patients create programs and healthy habits one step at a time. Kathleen also takes a hands-on approach to health concerns by integrating acupuncture and cranial sacral techniques. These physical therapies allow her to listen to the body and facilitate healing. Kathleen maintains a naturopathic family practice with a special interest in women’s health, family planning, prenatal wellness, pregnancy, holistic family health care, pediatric care and elder care.

Kathleen obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto in Research Psychology in 2002 with a special interest in attention, memory and neurodevelopment across the age-span. She then worked in the medical-legal field as an analyst in brain injury and physical trauma where she followed complex cases over the years and learned much about the Canadian health care system. She understands the importance of an integrative mindset, team-work, thorough history taking, active listening, physical examination and testing within the context of health care and how this approach can accelerate wellness and recovery. She will work in a complimentary way with your health care team.

Kathleen completed her naturopathic training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto in 2009 and is a registered member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She has continued her study of body work through training in Bowen Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy. She has completed Cranial Sacral 1, Cranial Sacral 2 and SomatoEmotional Release 1 through the Upledger Institute with whom she continues to study and upgrade her hands-on skills. Kathleen continues to keep up-to-date in her core clinical areas with a special interest in functional medicine course content including the evidence-based use of nutrition, natural supplements and lab testing in patient care.

Over the years she has gained professional and personal experience in age-related or acquired cognitive disabilities and neurodevelopmental disabilities and has volunteered in different health care, recreational and educational settings catering to pediatric and elderly populations. Little did she know this experience would come in handy one day with the arrival of her youngest son who has a rare and life altering medical condition. Her personal journey with him has allowed her to see the impactful role that nutrition and lifestyle play in even the most complex of cases. Small, simple changes make big health differences! These health habits are also vital ways of empowering families and individuals to become involved in their own care.
